9 Day Broome to Darwin (or Darwin to Broome) Adventure

The complete trip through the Kimberley, taking in all the sights of Western Australia's far north.

Day 1

Stop briefly at Willare Bridge to gaze in awe at the size of this river after leaving Broome.
Visit Tunnel Creek, a 750-metre tunnel that passes under the Napier range rich in bush-ranger history.

Day 2

Day 3

Explore some of the Kimberley's striking gorge for hiking and swimming - maybe Barnett, Manning, Adcock, or Galvans depending on the time of the year.
Overnight bush camp.

Day 4

Travel through some ancient and spectacular country before crossing the Pentecost River and the famous El Questro Station.
Walk into the beautiful Cockburn Ranges for a swim under the waterfall at Emma Gorge.

Day 5

Sit back and admire the awesome scenery of the Carr Boyd and Durack Ranges as we head to Turkey Creek.
Take a challenging 4WD trip into the Bungle Bungle (Purnululu) for sunset over the Osmond Ranges.

Day 6

Explore the unusual rock formations of the Bungle Bungle mastiff, the breathtaking Echidna Chasm and the magnificent Cathedral Gorge.

Day 7

Day 8

Drive out to Lake Argyle and the Ord River Dam and take in the magnificent expanse of the largest man made lake in Australia.
Peek into Keep Rive National Park before heading to our last camp on Victoria River.
Cross onto the border of the Northern Territory.

Day 9

Head over to Katherine for a brief visit to Katherine (Nitmiluk) Gorge.
Head north for a stopover at Edith Falls for a final refreshing & relaxing swim before heading into Darwin.
