SELF DRIVE CORAL COAST:
ITINERARY
(Tour CC01) Self-Drive to Exmouth - 7 Nights/8 Days
Day 1:
Distance: 247kms
Accomodation: Cervantes Motel
Depart Perth in the morning, travelling north on the Mitchell Freeway to the City of Joondalup, then on to Wanneroo Road to Yanchep.
Visit Yanchep National Park to see the Kangaroos and Koalas in the wild. Continue on to the Fishing Village of Lancelin and experience the Lancelin sand dunes.
Follow the direction on to Brand Highway travelling through Cataby and take the turn off towards the Pinnacles to the Fishing Village of Cervantes. At Cervantes drive to the Nambung National Park and to the Pinnacles Desert. You have the afternoon at leisure to admire those unique formation of Limestone pillars in the National Park until Sunset.
Next, make your way to the Cervantes Motel for your night accommodation.

Day 2:
Distance: 322kms
Accomodation: Palm Resort Motel, Kalbarri
After another look at the Pinnacles at sunrise, drive through the fishing village of Cervantes. Make your way through the fishing villages of Jurien Bay, Leeman, Dongara and pass through the City of Geraldton. After the town of Northampton, take the turn off towards the holiday fishing town of Kalbarri, situated at the mouth of the Murchison River.

Day 3:
Distance: 344kms
Accomodation: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort
Take a morning drive into the Kalbarri National Park to view the spectacular Murchison Gorge that houses Nature Window, The Loop and Z-Bend. Next, make your way out of the National Park and on the North West Coastal Highway to Shark Bay, situated in the World Heritage Area. Include a stop at Hamelin Pool, The Stromatolites, Shell Beach, Eagle Bluff, Denham, then on to Monkey Mia.

Day 4:
Distance: 336kms
Accomodation: Best Western Hospitality Inn, Canarvon
In the morning, make your way to the beach to meet with the Monkey Mia friendly Dolphins. Mid morning you could take time to enjoy a two hour “Shotover” catamaran cruise over the bay and discover more sea creatures.
After that, depart Monkey Mia and make your way travelling in a northerly direction to the Agricultural town of Carnarvon at BEST WESTERN HOSPITALITY INN for night accommodation.

Day 5:
Distance: 206 kms
Accomodation: Bayview, Coral Bay
After visiting an agricultural farm in Carnarvon take the direction towards the seaside village of Coral Bay, situated at the southern gateway of the world renowned Ningaloo Reef, crossing on your way is “The Tropic of Capricorn”. Spend your day to discover with Coral Bay Adventures on the unique marine life of the Ningaloo reefs region or take a tour swimming with the Whale Sharks in season (April – July)

Day 6:
Distance: 151
Accomodation: Novotel Ningaloo Reef Resort
Depart for Exmouth which is positioned between the grandiose landscape of the Cape Range National Park, Yardie Creek and the underwater wonders of the Ningaloo Marine Park, home of the famous Whale Sharks. (In season April - July)

Day 7:

Accomodation: Best Western Hospitality Inn, Geralton
Today, you depart Exmouth and make your return journey towards Geraldton for your overnight accommodation at BEST WESTERN HOSPITALITY INN.

After a morning stop at the St Francis Xavier Cathedral and the HMAS Sydney Memorial, depart Geraldton travelling in a southerly direction along the Brand Highway back to Perth.
